I recently revisited Nielsen//Netratings' website for an update on search engine market shares. The latest report , using figures from November 2006, show that things haven't changed much in the last six months:
- Google - 49.5%
- Yahoo! - 24.3%
- MSN - 8.2%
All the other search engines get to fight over a meagre 18% of the search market. Even so, with over 6.2 billion searches in the US through November 2006, there's still 1.2 billion searches they can claim.
